Two new Pieces in Show at

Show is called Art for the Blind










This first piece is called "All In This Together".
It is constructed from a 100+ year old tennis racket (complete with "cat-gut" original strings), handmade plastic figure, steel wire, aluminum and copper sheeting and glue. The racket was my great grandfather Ralph B. Mann's racket and his initials are carved into the handle right near where I signed the piece.CLOSE-UPS:
















The second piece is called, "Quincunx, between a rock and a hard place." It is a 6x6" square constructed of a wooden block, acrylic paint & mediums, a vintage envelope, engineer diagram over printed, steel wire, flicker feathers, & two holey stones found on the Oregon Coast. Quincunx is a term used, in this context, as an astrological term describing the alignment of certain celestial bodies in someone's chart. It also connotes the number 5. CLOSE-UP:
